This is an all around good boat that sails well. Classic Carl Alberg design with good lines and a full fixed keel. One of the best years for Cape Dory 28's, since it was after they added the bridgedeck to raise the companion way entrance (less chance of a wave getting below) and before they eliminated the hanging locker. Good condition and ready to go sailing, but this is a 37 year old boat. Some gelcoat cracking/crazing on the deck (fairly common on Cape Dorys) and the teak once had a cetol coating that is pretty well gone now. New bottom paint May 2015. Motor runs well.

Interior layout has a v berth with removable insert forward with storage beneath, followed by a head compartment with head to port with a slide out sink (with foot pump) and then hanging locker opposite to starboard. The head compartment has doors that closes it off from both the forward and main cabins. In the main cabin there settees with storage behind and freshwater tankage below. The port settee pulls out to make a double berth while the starboard is a single. Removable folding table in the middle. Starboard in the galley has a large, deep icebox that doubles as a nav station, stainless sink in the center (with foot pump for water) and two burner unpressurized alcohol stove to port. A/C window unit in companionway keeps the boat cool and dry while at dock, but is easily removed.
