    This is a solid blue water-capable sailboat built to the highest standards. Truly a work of art, built by a documented shipwright. It is seaworthy - not damaged, rotted or neglected in any way. I just have too much on my plate, and would like to shorten my "want to" list.

  • Ballast: 2500 lbs (lead) fin keel bolted on with bronze bolts

    Designer:

  • Charles Miller of Springfield, IL won design competitions by Cruising World.

    Description:

  • Design details and construction indicate blue water passagemaking capability.
  • The construction is of high quality.
  • Hull is constructed with 1/2" marine (Okoume) plywood over a framework of Honduras mahogany
  • Fastenings are bronze nails and screws
  • Epoxy coated inside and outside with System 3 epoxy
  • Exterior, decks, and cabin covered with fiberglass set in epoxy, with a double layer on the bottom
  • Hull and deck are sound and rot free
  • Outboard rudder has full depth protective skeg

  • All sail covers and tiller cover in good condition

    Deck:

  • Teak bowsprit with 2 anchor rollers
  • 1 13 pound Danforth with chain and 3/8 in. nylon rode
  • Bow pulpit, double life lines
  • 4 - 8 in. bronze mooring cleats
  • Tiller steering, outboard rudder with 3 bronze gudgeons and pintles
  • Whale Gusher 10 bilge pump (installed, but never used!)
  • Solid teak cabin entrance drop boards
  • Sliding hatch has double baffles forward - keeps all water out
  • Dorade vents built into forward corners of cabin top
