Circumstances have severely crimped the possibility of finding enough appropriate time to enjoy sailing and camping in my "ultimate" 14 foot micro-cruiser ---- so have VERY reluctantly decided to offer her for sale. The "SELF RIGHTING" Peep Hen is a truly ingenious set of compromises offering comfort (sit up headroom), hugely spacious cockpit and surprisingly decent sailing ability----and, with the almost new "Summer Cabin" (see pic) an absolute joy for onboard camping. To me, she is the ultimate "VW bus" of boating----both whimsical and highly functional.
I drove to Indianapolis to acquire her in late 2010 and spent several months
repairing, rebuilding, replacing and "refining" everything necessary to bring her to optimum potential----(I do have practical skills and boat building experience).
I will try and list the highlights but some stuff will need to be explained (in person or by telephone) to fully communicate----such as totally bug free, rain free novel venting set up when cabin camping----added "rub rail" to protect summer cabin snaps when docking----interesting interior touches and----"alternate" kick-up rudder system to avoid damaging the original barn door rudder when "grounding out" while beach camping. There is a lovely curved skulling oar and provisions for "possible" mizzen sail. Also have a downloaded copy of Ken Murphy's "Hen Sailing Manual" (a mine of useful information).

REPLACED----center board BOLT and PENDANT----hatch slides----and gallows.
"Wallowed" mast pin hole permanently fixed and reinforced.
LIKE NEW--- Bimini----Complete Summer Cabin with "no-see-um" screening
----Sail cover and total boat cover.
Cabin and cockpit cushions in excellent shape----oh, and she's bottom painted.
TRAILER is in good shape with new bunks, wheels/tires and hubs (bearings).
TOHATSU 4 HP four stroke (with reverse)----less than 30 hours run time and
recently fully serviced.
The latter, together with sail and canvas, would cost at least 4K so I feel comfortable with a total asking price of $6,000
