The Rhodes 22 does exactly what it's designed to do. It packs more cruising capability into a small trailerable boat than most. As a cruiser for two people or a couple with children, it is hard to beat in a trailerable boat. While it is an old design built in a conventional way, this is not necessarily bad. Many in fact would argue that it's good.
The Rhodes is a great day sailer for up to 6-8 people. It is a very steady boat at 2900 pounds dry.
It is easy to store with the mast up near a ramp, in the water, or trailer it from wherever you store it. A very safe and stable boat with a great reputation and following.
There is also a very active owners group and support from the factory in Edenton.
