Description:
This Melonseed is Brush Creek Yachts hull no. 7, a reproduction of an 1880's New Jersey gunning skiff, drawn by Howard Chapelle.
The boat is constructed of cedar planking, white oak steam bent frames, and cypress keel and deckbeams.
The hull is encapsulated with epoxy and fiberglass cloth, inside and out, with a natural varnished interior and an Awlgrip paint system on the exterior.
The decks are marine plywood covered with painted canvas. The floor boards in the cockpit are cypress with an oiled finish.
The coamings, rubrails, transom, and trim are mahogany, spars are douglas fir, and the oars are spruce.
Price includes sail, oars, and a galvanized Loadrite custom fit trailer.
