Hobie cat 16', 1975
Clean title.
Bought it from the original owner about a year ago.
Have receipts for nearly everything done to it since 1975.
Includes 2 catamaran sailing books.
Even have what's left of the original owner's manual.
The good:
Everything is here, and it's all functional, ready to sail.
Trailer has new bulbs, wheels, tires (including spare), boat straps, and winch rope.
I injected epoxy in one hill to fix soft spots.
It was only ever used in fresh water.
Jib sail is in great condition.
The bad:
It's old and it shows.
The mainsail has patches (though it's a replacement sail).
The patches were professionally applied by a sailmaker.
There are a couple of soft spots that should be repaired.
This would be a great way to get started with a low cost catamaran.
I bought this to do with my kids, but they're always off doing something else.
