Great sailing/handling, solid cruising boat, always in fresh water, fully equipped and well maintained.
I purchased this boat from the 3rd owner, who had owned this boat for 20 years. He did his research and bought GAIA with the intention of retiring and sailing off to the Carribbean.
Unfortunately, health issues kept he and his wife from carrying out their dream, but he sailed the boat in and around the Erie Islands until when, at age 83, he reluctantly made the decision to give up sailing.
Boat is a USCG Documented Vessel with Recreational as well as Coatswise endorsement (which means you could legally run sailing charters if wanted)
My wife and I have enjoyed the boat for several years, sailing in and around the same beautiful Lake Erie Islands area. GAIA is a great sailing boat, very comfortable and "sea kindly", stands up to a blow, and, this is real a bonus...handles better in reverse than any boat I've owned! I almost always back her into the slip, wherever I am docking.
Boat can be inspected out of the water until May 4th, (launch date). Once launched, boat can be seen at Cedar Point Marina in Sandusky.
