5.5 Meter Racing Yacht, 31.5', built by Seabrook Shipyard, 1962
Almost completely restored 5.5 Meter classic wood (mahogany on oak frames) racing yacht, an Olympic class for many years. This boat won or placed in many 5.5 Meter World Championships,
originally built and sailed by Ernest Fay from Houston.
Ernest and Albert Fay were world class racers and owned the Seabrook Shipyard in Seabrook, TX.
The hull is in excellent condition, the deck is completely new; all that is needed is cleaning of the aluminum spars, new standing and running rigging and a set of sails for a competitive classic racing yacht. It has been in dry storage for the last 15 years.
Displ. 3,400 lbs.
The boat is currently located in Buford, GA (near Atlanta, Lake Lanier) and has a steel trailer.
