Allegra 24, 1984
with a Newer Triad Trailer
$15,000 for boat & Trailer
She is a true bluewater Sailor on a great trailer.
She is 24ft on the water line. 8ft wide.
She is a Fred Bingham design. The father of Bruce Bingham that designed the Flicka 20.
She was built by Wilmette boat yard.
She has 6'1" head room.
You can find all her specs on sailboatdata.com. Under Allegra 24.
They are so rare you will see a picture of Rebecca on that site.
A lot of people compare her to the Dana 24. But she is very well built. The deck and cabin are are solid and very well built. The hull is very heavy built.
She has a Yanmar diesel that was new in 2008 and not ran much since.
The sails seem in good shape.
The rigging was inspected and looks great, almost new.
I have never put her in the water.
I bought her to run the great loop and spend the winter in the Bahamas.
She spent her life in the Great Lakes.
But medical issues will keep me from my dream. I came from the power boat world so this sailing thing is all new to me.
She will need bottom paint and I would drain the fuel and replace filters.
I have the filters And I have a new Impeller for the water pump.
I have afew extra things to through in also for the right deal..
But Rebecca is a great boat and has the Salty lines to make her a classic.
She is at my home in Aurora Indiana. On the Ohio River.
