History of F-27: This was the first of the Corsair line, with the prototype launched in 1985. It was built between 1986 and 1997, when replaced in production by the F-28. It has a fixed mast, length of 27’, and displaces 2,690 pounds. It has a 18 gal. fresh water tank and 8 gal. holding tank. Several have made ocean crossing to Hawaii and to England. In 2004 it was inducted into the American Sailboat Hall of Fame, to recognize ingenuity of design. During a production run of 12 years, 453 hulls were launched. This was the first production built trimaran with folding pontoons. It was very well built, and many are still providing fun for sailors who want a tailorable, fast and fun cruiser. You can sleep in it, although it is somewhat cramped for that.
History of this specific boat(#292, Holo-Holo): It has been always stored on land, and has been at Lake Canyon Yacht Club since 2003. It has mostly been in fresh water, with some salt water exposure.
I have had great fun for 16 years sailing this boat on Canyon Lake, and a few times in Corpus Christie bay.
Now, because of my age (75) and other interests, it is time for another sailor to take her tiller, and cruise and race her for many more years.
With some TLC, she will give many more years of fun.
