Haines Hunter 'Super' Trimaran, 1982
Up for sale in a rare 1982 Haines Hunter 'Super' Trimaran. It was designed by Ian Farrier (who makes the 'Corsair' trimarans)
This is a Australian boat known around the world for being fast and nimble. It's main feature is that the outside ammas fold in while on the water to
maneuver into a boat slip. Once backed out of the slip the ammas fold down and bolt extending outwards to create a stable 14' beam.
This makes 'Flying a hull' very fun!
What separates this 'super' Tramp from the regular Tramp...the mast is 3'+ taller and the decking hardware is rigged for racing.
The swing keel makes it easy to come closer to shore. Also makes it easy to trailer. Perfect for rising and falling tides. Specially when the ammas are folded out and keel up.
See attached video from one of my prior Tramp's for folding down the ammas.
It comes with the following:
Good main sail and at least two jibs,
Bimini top, cockpit storage pockets, rigged with LED navigational strips that make it extremely visible at night.
I've installed a shelf under hood of cockpit for easy to reach storage.
Anchor locker w/ anchor
Wired for stereo with speakers.
A vinyl cockpit hood cover for inclement weather/camping is included and in good shape.
The trampoline mesh, between the ammas and the hull are in good condition making it easy to stretch out and relax on those hot summer days.
Also included is a port-a-potty located deep in the front storage locker. A little inconvenient but doable.
Could possibly use a bottom job although it's being in fresh water from the previous owner as well..
Trailer included, good wheels and tires. New tongue jack.
Has a 9.8 hp Mercury motor with recently replaced impeller.

LOA 19.5'

Beam unfolded 14.5'
