The time has finally come to sell my Hunter 240 swing-keel sailboat. She is a 2000 model year; I purchased her in 2010 as the third owner (all fresh water). This boat is a great “social toy” as a friend dubbed it, with a sailing capacity of 8 people, and sleeping berths for 4 adults and 2 kids (though it gets cozy above 2 adults). Really fun to sail and can be easily single-handed. I’ve taught a lot of people to sail in this boat. My wife and I spend a few weekends away on the boat every summer - cheaper than a cabin!
In June 2019 I sanded and cleaned the hull, rudder, and keel before applying 2-4 coats of Interlux antifouling paint. Replaced the keel uphaul line. Exterior teak was sanded and oiled at the same time. Interior teak steps replaced with thicker, stronger custom-made steps in 2018.
