Five hatches are sealed with neoprene gaskets and latched with stainless hatch latches with turning lock lift handle.
Both sails have two reef points for 35% and 60% reefing.

"A daysailer that combines classic panache with attitude. The traditional lapstrake look of her hull, belies Lapwing’s thoroughly modern performance. The construction uses glued (epoxied) plywood strakes built over a jig. Unlike traditional lapstrake construction, there are no frames, so the interior of the hull is clean. She has 8 strakes per side, giving her a nice round-bilged hull form. "
