This 1996 MacGregor 26X has been well maintained and is loaded with many extras, improvements and upgrades. If you are seeking a sailboat that you can easily transport to your home waters whether a lake or the ocean this is the boat for you. It has everything you need to go sailing right away.
I am the second owner of this fractional rigged sloop. My father, who was the first owner, only used the boat twice in the Inland Passage of British Columbia and then stored the boat on the hard for 12 years. Since I acquired the boat in early 2009, it has only been sailed in fresh water lakes. It should be seriously considered if you are looking for an easily trailered powersailer.
Most recently the boat has been totally rewired, trailer wheel bearing repacked and the bottom painted with Interlux VC Performance Two Part Epoxy which makes it extremely easy to clean at the end of the season and stands up well to the rigors of trailering, loading and unloading.
She is loaded with extras.
I have included a short list of the most significant improvements as well as numerous photos. If you are interested I can supply a complete list of all the extras and improvements. If you are considering a previously owned sailboat, you should take a closer look at this one.
