Oday 192, 19ft, 1986

  • 19 foot sailboat located in Littleton, Colorado (Denver area)

    This boat sails super well.

  • Very balanced helm that stay on course hands free with properly trimmed sails.
  • Tacks well and is such a joy to sail, even for a novice!
  • It is also very easy to launch and recover thanks to the retractable tongue.

    Features:

  • Retractable centerboard
  • CDI Roller furler
  • Tiller tamer
  • Sails in good shape, still crispy
  • Main sail cover
  • Mast raising system
  • depth finder
  • 5 horsepower Honda 4 cycle outboard with rolling stand
  • anchor
  • Never been in salt water
  • Under-seat fuel tank storage
  • Cockpit locker for storing fenders, anchor, etc.
  • Comfortable interior for naps, overnight stay, or just getting out of the sun or rain
  • Cooler that sits under the cabin entry
  • Porta potty (we've never used it, but it is there)
  • Solid boat with no soft spots, delamination, or any other giant repair jobs
  • Solid trailer with new tires, new tongue jack, retractable tongue, and LED lights (could use a paint job)
  • Mast crutch for transport with roller to assist in moving the mast back for attaching to mast step
  • Includes a large selection of spare hardware and a tool kit

The boat was owned for one year by the original purchaser, then for 21 years by the next gentleman in Wyoming who we purchased it from (his estate actually), and it was evident that the boat was his baby. We have owned the boat for three years and sailed it for about 2-3 weeks each Summer. Other than those 2-3 weeks it was always stored in our garage.

We love sailing, but our kids don't even like to sail a little bit. We are switching to a camper for our last few years with the kids still in the house.

  • Not enough room in the garage to keep both a camper and a sailboat, so we regrettably must sell the boat. In five years we will be looking for another boat, and an Oday 192 will be high on my list!
