the bottom was painted with 3 coats of water base ablative, Petit Hydrocoat, (2 blue over 1 red) winter 2014-15.
A Catalina Direct forestay reinforcing kit was installed that ties the forestay deck plate to a u-bolt eye reinforcing block glassed into the hull bow. This means the forestay is attached to the hull also and not just the deck, strengthening it significantly.
