Cal 9.2, 30 feet, 1980
Location: Rockwall, TX
Good shape, not perfect but sails wonderfully. Engine (universal diesel) starts and runs like a charm.
Turn key, ready to sail, cruise, or race!
roller furling genoa in great shape
extra jib
spinnaker
spinnaker pole
main could use a good cleaning but all sails serviceable. some like new (extra jib and spinnaker).
mostly new running rigging (except halyards which are mostly cable)
new heavy-duty dock lines
several winches (big barient two speed) & handles
fast, roomy, exceptionally well balanced
swim ladder with platform
Bimini
anchor
automatic bilge pump
new batteries, impeller, thermostat
head w tank
nice roomy cabin
too much to list!
The bad:
It has some cabin leaks -- I believe its the starboard port window.
Cabin is fresh (I run a dehumidifier w/ automatic pump), and I'm including it.
One hank is missing from mainsail.
Halyards are 95% cable, but the rope ends are old.
Fully serviceable but not pretty.
Alternator is not attached to the engine. Previous owner removed it because he didn't find he needed it and it was just one more spinning thing.
I'm told it works but did not test it.
But with two NEW AGM batteries and a new charger and virtually no drain from LED cabin lights and depth sounder, what's the point?
Can take over slip, no worries -- renews April 1, paid for through March.
Like virtually all boats of the era, no a/c, but not needed!!
I'm on the fence about selling her, I've really enjoyed her immensely, but I hope she can go to a good home.
If the ad is up, its still for sale
