Gauntlet Cutter, 1937 sailboat for sale

Free to a good owner.

  • 42’ sailboat my friend has been meticulously refinishing this sailboat for years. He’s gotten to old to work on it anymore. There have been professional ship wrights involved in her restoration. No corners have been cut in the work done on her. She almost made it to Texas A&M as a teaching repair vessel. Would hate to see her go to waste with all the love and effort put in. Galveston tx.
  • by Berthon- Lymington, UK. Burma teak on English oak and rock elm.
  • Much replacement/ renewal of components in last 25+ years, using the best of materials available to me.
  • 316ss, silicon bronze, modern glues and sealants.
  • Perkins 4/107 diesel- less than 200 hrs since rebuild, but not run since haul out after Ike.
  • I have tons of info on vessel- too much to type, but happy to talk to interested parties. Thanks for your interest, cheers.
  • A great seaboat, a one day run of 175 miles (24hrs) crossing the Atlantic in 1983. New stem installed.
