The 350s are well built and comfortable, for cruising, weekend stays, or just day sailing. The Catalina 350 won the Cruising World Sailboat of the Year Award and is of one of the largest and most comfortable 35' foot sailboats afloat.
Their well designed spaces provide the feel and livability of a much larger boat. In fact, Practical Sailor Magazine described it as "It has a big-boat galley, big-boat head, and large forward cabin to pamper owners." . Her in mast furling and aft led lines make for easy handling. With an actual hull length over 35 feet and a beam of thirteen feet (plus 6' 9" headroom), the C350 has the volume more like a 40 footer with impressive accommodations, incredible storage and ample tankage, making extended cruises not only possible, but pleasurable.
