Sail area: main:108 sq.ft. jib: 52 sq.ft. (160 sq.ft. total)
Often termed "The Ultimate Daysailer" and "The Mercedes of dingies" this wonderful little sailboat can be easily rigged by one person, has a huge cockpit that can easily handle 4 or more crew and be towed by compact vehicles. Quick, very stable, and capable of reaching planing speeds on a broad reach. Just a blast to sail.
Self bailing cockpit both underway and at rest.
Built with the Boston Whaler unsinkable foam sandwich construction method, and designed by by the famous C&C yachts, this boat is in excellent condition, especially considering it's age, and although titled as a '77 I suspect that it is a later build as it has the much more desirable solid mahogany benches instead of the earlier installed teak laminated plywood benches which tended to de-laminate.
The hull has zero damage, all fittings, standing and running rigging, sheets and halyards, Elvstrom bailers, foam filled Kenyon spars, and the original North sails are also in excellent condition.
An additional jib is also included. Zero issues with the retractable centerboard. The galvanized trailer has zero rust, newish bearings and new wheels and tires. The original Harpoon handbook, brochures, and additional information on the design and history are all included in the sale.
