2012 professionally built Ross Lillistone Phoenix III
length overall-15’ 1.5”
Description -
Quality build by Bill Thomas, a professional builder and teacher at the Wooden Boat School in Brooklin, Maine.
Quality materials: Okume marine grade plywood hull. Spars and mast of sitka spruce from Shaw and Tenney in Maine, Ronstan and Harken hardware.
Included:
road worthy Loadrite trailer with a long tongue and practically new 12” tires
7.5 foot oars
Design Details:
unstayed mast
lug rigged with reef points (sail new in 2015).
The boat will ghost nicely in a light breeze; with enough wind she will plane. Sails dry even in chop.
Buoyancy tanks built-in under the fore and aft decks, as well as under the aft thwart.
A small, self-draining outboard motor well is built into the aft deck.
The design is popular for its ease of rigging (as little as 10-15 minutes), superior performance, stability and ease of recovery.
Stored inside, the boat has always been well maintained. An unexpected move necessitates this sale.
