Karavan Trailer and Yamaha 3hp. Outboard
Wonderful family sailboat – big enough to be safe, small enough to be easy to launch and sail – qualities hard to find.
This Starwing-built Point Jude comes with Tanbark Sails (excellent shape), three mahogany Locker Covers, Bilge Pump, Motor Mount, Anchor with rode and throw Cushion. Centerboard and rudder are in good shape. Maryland Title in hand.
The 1985 Karavan Trailer has updated 4.80X12 Tires with a spare, Bearing Buddies, a Tongue Jack, and Winch on a stand. Maryland Title in hand.
This Point Jude daysailer, was designed in 1946 by Edson Schock, with over 1,200 boats were built. Clearly, this boat was intended with stability, safety and comfort in mind. Dinghy racing was not on the designer's mind. The 525 lbs hull should keep the 136 sq.ft. sailplan well behaved and stable. The chined hull will make for relatively flat and dry sailing.
Buyer's Choice: White or Tanbark sails - all very good condition.
