One of the most successful racer/cruisers of the 1970’s is the Tartan 30. Called an affordable classic and a good buy by Practical Sailor magazine. This boat is very affordable if you’re interested in getting into weekend sailing and maybe some rum races on Galveston Bay. It has a roller furling jib, an assortment of sails, including a symmetrical spinnaker with pole. Powered by a 9.9 hp 2 stroke electric start Johnson Sail Master ob. The boat is sail away ready but has not been sailed in several years and looks like it. The Tartan 30 is owned by the Sea Scouts and being sold as surplus.
