The Catalina 27 is a nice family cruising vessel with great accommodations and interior space (6’2” headroom). This model has the “Traditional” interior with a table which folds out of the way which offers great inside space instead of the dinette version which converts to a small double. There is also one settee that extends into a longer double berth (6’ & 6’2” berths). The other nice feature is this boat has an outboard engine which allows for additional storage under the cockpit. Another great feature is the swing away tiller to allow more room in the cockpit when docked or anchored. And the fin keel is the best for sailing performance. There also is a starboard quarter berth and the galley is located on the port side. Check out the list of gear that goes with this boat. The self-bailing cockpit is large and the deck is easy to walk about on with the lifeline attachments and forward hatch and deck anchor locker. This boat is designed to be sailed single handedly. The furling Jib can be taken in and out from the cockpit. There is a winch on top of the right-side cabin that allows the main sail to be raised and lowered from the cockpit. There is an electrical switch panel in the cockpit to turn on and off the lights. The traveler is to the rear of the cockpit for easy operation. This boat is located at Grandpappy Point marina.
